About
A professional, heart-centered acupuncture practice. Amazing Acupuncture Clinic was created to provide precise, caring, and understandable treatment in a calm clinical setting.

Meet Debby Chiang, L.Ac.
I’m Debby Chiang, L.Ac., founder of Amazing Acupuncture Clinic in Austin, Texas.
Before becoming an acupuncturist, I spent more than 20 years working in the high-tech industry as a project manager. That background taught me to think systematically, pay attention to details, look for patterns, and keep improving a process based on results.
My path into acupuncture began personally.
I experienced persistent health concerns of my own, including sciatic discomfort, episodes of neck stiffness, and eye-related concerns. Those experiences made me curious about why some symptoms kept returning and how acupuncture might influence pain, movement, stress, sleep, and nervous-system function.
In many ways, I became my own first patient.
The more I experienced acupuncture and studied how the body responds, the more I wanted to understand the reasoning behind treatment—not simply which points to use, but why a particular approach might be chosen for a particular person.
That curiosity eventually changed the direction of my career.
Mentorship in Taiwan
A major influence on my clinical development has been my mentorship with Dr. Wen Tsung-Kai in Taiwan.
Through this mentorship, I was introduced to a modern, nervous-system-focused approach to acupuncture, including scalp acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, microsystem concepts, and individualized clinical reasoning.
One of the most important lessons I learned was not to rely on memorized point combinations alone.
Instead, treatment should be guided by the patient’s symptoms, function, overall presentation, and response during care.
This way of thinking strongly shaped how I practice today.
My Clinical Approach
I later completed formal Traditional Chinese Medicine education in the United States, including acupuncture, meridian theory, pattern differentiation, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, and whole-body assessment.
Today, I integrate these different perspectives into one individualized approach.
I consider:
• Your current symptoms
• Health history
• Medications and supplements
• Movement or functional limitations
• Lifestyle and stress
• Treatment goals
• How your body responds during treatment
When appropriate, I may ask you to move, walk, bend, rotate your neck, or repeat another meaningful activity during treatment.
We may then reassess the same movement or symptom afterward.
This helps guide the treatment plan and makes the process more interactive and individualized.
Assess → Treat → Reassess → Plan
Clinical Reasoning, Not Point Memorization
Every patient is different.
Even when two people have the same diagnosis, their symptoms, health history, movement patterns, stress level, medications, and goals may be very different.
That is why I do not believe acupuncture should be a fixed recipe.
My goal is to understand the person in front of me, observe how they respond, and adjust treatment accordingly.
Healing from the Heart
“Healing from the Heart” reflects the philosophy behind Amazing Acupuncture Clinic.
For me, good care requires both precision and compassion.
I want patients to feel heard, understand the reasoning behind their care, and feel comfortable asking questions.
My goal is not only to provide acupuncture, but to create a thoughtful and respectful treatment experience in which each patient can actively participate in their care.
